The health, wellbeing and safety of our guests and prospective guests is our prime concern.
On 14th March we were sorry to announce that following the declaration of emergency from the Spanish government on Friday 13th March we had to stop the activity programme, for 15 days, which has now been extended for a further 15 days. The retreat is temporarily closed to guests, after all guests returned home.
We have a skeleton staff working remotely Monday to Friday. We would appreciate it if you could contact us by email in the first instance. We will be answering emails and telephone calls between 10am and 2pm (Central European Time).
This situation due to coronavirus COVID-19 is complex and keeps evolving. We will contine to provide updates here and on our social media channels. We hope you keep well and look forward to welcoming our guests back to the retreat as soon as possible.
With love and best wishes Lisa, John and the team.
This page is designed to provide information on the measures that La Crisalida retreats is taking regarding the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
We would like to assure you that we are monitoring the situation every day in line with the information received from the relevant local, national and international authorities. The health, wellbeing and safety of our staff, guests and prospective guests is our prime concern.
According to the most recent update available from Spanish Ministry of Health, there are 6,308 confirmed cases in Comunidad Valenciana (this is the region in which the retreat is based, population of 4.9 million). The number of cases in Spain is high, but the number of new cases seem to be stabilising over recent days.
Whilst Alicante airport is still open, there are very few flights now operating. We recommend that you check guidelines for travel with the relevant national or governmental body for your country and your airline itself.
The state of emergency meant that from midnight 13th March 2020 cafes, bars, gyms etc were closed in the region for preventative measures. Beaches, parks and communal pools were also closed. On Monday 16th March 2020 all schools and universities closed. Land borders are now closed to travellers. The public are encouraged to stay at home with only essential travel for food or emergencies. Additional restrictions on work travel were added on 28th March, meaning only travel for essentil work is permitted. These restrictions are likely to be in place until April 11th or 12th, if not longer.
Peace of mind at the retreat
To ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff, the below precautionary and response measures were implemented whilst the retreat was open, to help us continue to provide a safe and clean environment:
- Enhanced cleaning, including hand sanitizers and frequent cleaning of high-touch areas
- Staff are aware of the procedures to follow in case there is a suspected or confirmed case among our guests or colleagues
- Additional question at check-in to ensure all our guests understand what the symptoms of covid-19 are and actions to take
Peace of mind for your booking
